again i haven't really heard anything about why exactly england is overrated?
ideally, they are not performing on the offensive as well as they should be, but they're still winning their games and have a solid defensive system going on. If a team was 'overrated' then they would have a shitload of hype on them but lose their matches.

Germany will win it all. On a side note, how about the Ukraine! Taking out the Swiss in penalties. Wow, I was standing yelling at the t.v half the game, slow game, couple scares... but my boys pulled through. Those pussy assed waps are next to die by the Ukraine's prowess.

do i really need to say why they are over rated?
number 1 - Beckham.. 'nuff said.. im not saying he's NOT good.. but he was better back in the day.. now he's over rated.. seriously. number 2 - England has good players.. but with all their success it has gotten to their heads and there for has made their playing ability not quite up to par --- how is Portugal over rated? all i ever hear is people hating on them.. Italy is more over rated then Portugal.. nice try with the come back though.. but trying to tell me that Portugal is as over rated as England is a laugh.. the only reason Portugal may be over rated is because of C.Ronaldo.. and thats becuz little girls think he's hawt and thats the only reason why they watch Portugal play.. other then that.. everyone doubts Portugal.. so again.. HOW ARE WE OVER RATED? other then the fact of C.Ronaldo.. we cant help that Portuguese people are good looking :kimmie: hahahahha jp :p

Portugal this year is a better team then they were at Euro Cup.. and England isnt playing as good as they were at Euro.. so its a toss up now because of Portugal having so many cards.. if we didnt have those cards, we would kill England.. based on the way England has been playing.. compared to how Portugal has been playing.. but now, we'll jus ahve to wait and see til the game starts to see how well England will do or how well Portugal will do.

Thats a load of crap... simple as that England hasn't played any real powerfull teams yet and they have just played to theire opponents level.
Portugal really hasn't played any powerfull teams till the Netherlands either and they only squeaked by them with some very underhanded play. Would you really be surprised to see Figo gone from the next game for the headbutt in the second half??

A prime example would be Michael Owen who had a similiar injury and took nearly that long to recover, and is still looking to regain his touch since. As much as it's pumping up the Brits to have him in the line up, you're not going to see any of that RUGBY-ESQUE gameplay that Rooney is so well known for. I don't care what anyone says, Eriksson isn't the one that should be leading these players into battle. Soccer is one of those sports where a coach can elevate his players gameplay far beyond their own abilities. Eriksson isn't the man to do that. His international record isn't the best, and a lot of his calls international play have been suspect. I feel the only ones out on the pitch that are really showing any brief displays of true effort and talent are the Coles aka. "EBONY AND IVORY" and the spottings of the Liverpool men on the pitch. Where the rest of the team have been slacking, these guys have picked up. Overall Britains international record is pretty spotted. They tend to not become a cohesive unit, which is pretty much a necessity for any team to strive in the late stages of a tourney like the world cup. When it comes to matchplay like this they like to choke. I'm sorry to tell all you British fans out there... ENGLAND IS NOT THE WORLD DOMINATING FORCE YOU THINK THEY ARE.
