He doesn't need to, he wants to. There's a really big difference there and you need to get that through your head. Just because you don't see a potential for friendship doesn't mean he doesn't.

Sheesh. I'm 25 and I have plenty of friends that are older than me. I even have a couple of friends closing in on their 40s. And yes, we do share many common interests. And I've had a fair share of cougars hit on me in the past. So I take it as a compliment, and go on my merry way never having to let them follow through on it. Yeah, it's uncomfortable but it's not like I've never had a crush myself on someone who didn't like me back.

I think my point is moreso: Who the hell knows what his intentions are? Definitely not you, because you're pretty set out to not learn anything else about this guy despite the fact he seems interested in learning about you. That's fine, but don't call him out to his clients (your employers) for something as minute as leaving an e-mail address.

I think that it does involve morality to a certain degree! If a girl wants to be a "gold digger" or skeevy , she'll take advantage of an older man for stability , money , security ... whichever the case. Ms.Tarantula - I think that your behavior is very childish (and I dont mean that in a rude way) As an adult you should have politely declined his email address and moved on with your day. If something so trivial and innocent can make you feel so uncomfortable..than you really are not acting your age. If you were 16, I could understand the discomfort.
