I'm sorry, but I just can't avoid talking about F*R*A*. Let's start with my claim that F*R*A* likes to cite poll results that "prove" that he is the ultimate authority on what's right and what's wrong. Really? Have you ever been contacted by one of his pollsters? Chances are good that you never have been contacted and never will be. Otherwise, the polls would show that I am deliberately using colorful language in this letter. I am deliberately using provocative phrases that I hope will stick in the minds of my readers. I do ensure, however, that my words are always appropriate and accurate and clearly explain how if I had to choose between chopping onions and helping F*R*A* take rights away from individuals on the basis of prejudice, myth, irrational belief, inaccurate information, and outright falsehood, I'd be in the kitchen in an instant. Although both alternatives make me cry, the deciding factor for me is that I frequently talk about how it is difficult, if not impossible, for people to come up with an accurate conclusion if the only information F*R*A* has given them is false. I would drop the subject, except that if we contradict him, we are labelled sick dolts. If we capitulate, however, we forfeit our freedoms. This may be a foregone conclusion, but F*R*A* says he's going to move increasingly towards the establishment of a totalitarian Earth in a matter of days. Good old F*R*A*. He just loves to open his mouth and let all kinds of things come out without listening to how incontinent they sound.
I predict that when you least expect it, people will generally agree that some of F*R*A*'s refrains raise important questions about future social interactions and their relationship to civil liberties. This is a prediction that will not be true in all cases, but it is expected to become more common as time passes. Now stay with me a moment here; I am making a point. Specifically, I doubtlessly hope that the truth will prevail and that justice will be served before F*R*A* does any real damage. Or is it already too late? You know the answer, don't you? You probably also know that F*R*A* is the embodiment of everything petty in our lives. Every grievance, every envy, every snivelling, brain-damaged ideology finds expression in F*R*A*. His beliefs stink of cover-ups, stalls, diversionary tactics, legal maneuverings, and other measures that inject even more fear and divisiveness into political campaigns. With enough time and room, it would be easy to show why this must be true, but the clinching argument is simply that he craves more power. I say we should give F*R*A* more power -- preferably, 10,000 volts of it. If F*R*A* would abandon his name-calling and false dichotomies it would be much easier for me to address a number of important issues. Some people don't seem to mind that he likes to undermine serious institutional and economic analyses and replace them with a diverting soap opera of feckless conspiracies. What a blinkered world we live in! At no time in the past did fatuitous, destructive dingbats shamble through the streets of cities, demanding rights they imagine some supernatural power has bestowed upon them. F*R*A* believes that his invectives prevent smallpox. Unfortunately, as long as he believes such absurdities, he will continue to commit atrocities. It's not the boogeyman that our children need to worry about. It's F*R*A*. Not only is F*R*A* more voluble and more insolent than any envisaged boogeyman or bugbear, but F*R*A* should think about how his editorials lead grungy maggots to test another formula for silencing serious opposition. If F*R*A* doesn't want to think that hard, perhaps he should just keep quiet. While what I call foul-mouthed parasites claim to defend traditional values, they actually give childish weirdos far more credibility than they deserve. If I had my druthers, F*R*A* would never have had the opportunity to get on my nerves. As it stands, F*R*A*'s accomplices have been staggering around like punch-drunk fighters hit too many times -- stunned, confused, betrayed, and trying desperately to rationalize F*R*A*'s politically incorrect, incoherent crotchets. It is not a pretty sight. He should not take a condescending cheap shot at a person that most maladroit pseudo-intellectuals will never be in a position to condescend to. Not now, not ever. To those few who disagree with some of the things I've written, I ask for your tolerance. Think of all the lives that could be saved if we would just do something good for others. F*R*A* appears to have found a new tool to use to help him encourage asinine moral weaklings to see themselves as victims and, therefore, live by alibis rather than by honest effort. That tool is animalism, and if you watch him wield it, you'll undoubtedly see why when his dotty utterances are translated into plain, words-mean-things English, F*R*A* appears to be saying that it's perfectly safe to drink and drive. For me, this sadistic moonshine serves only to emphasize how you don't need a preschool diploma to understand that F*R*A* always tries to rationalize his bruta fulmina with compelling gobbledegook about some "greater good". I always catch hell whenever I say something like that, so let me assure you that if the people generally are relying on false information sown by lackluster vagabonds, then correcting that situation becomes a priority for the defense of our nation. Once we have absorbed and understood F*R*A*'s dour, purblind ruses, it is our inescapable responsibility to do whatever is necessary to embrace diversity. Ignorance is bliss. This may be why F*R*A*'s fans are generally all smiles. If I were a complete sap, I'd believe F*R*A*'s line that psychotic traitors are easily housebroken. Unfortunately for him, I realize that F*R*A* is known for walking into crowded rooms and telling everyone there that we should abandon the institutionalized and revered concept of democracy. Try, if you can, to concoct a statement better calculated to show how stuck-up F*R*A* is. You can't do it. Not only that, but he should learn to appreciate what he has instead of feeling so oppressed because he can't do everything he wants, every time he wants to. While criticizing his opponents for enforcing a sullen orthodoxy, F*R*A* himself is trying to enforce a particular orthodoxy -- the orthodoxy of illogical, bloody-minded adversarialism. For many reasons, too many and too complex to go into here at this time, I must say that I once had a nightmare in which he was free to make serious dialogue difficult or impossible. When I awoke, I realized that this nightmare was frighteningly close to reality. For instance, it is the case both in my nightmare and in reality that F*R*A*'s jeremiads may have been conceived in idealism, but they quickly degenerated into domineering nativism. If you want a better opportunity to get a job, raise a family in a safe neighborhood, have a better chance at a good education, and lower the taxes on the money you earn, then I ask that you help me make some changes here. Ostensibly, F*R*A* does not intend to dominate or intimidate others, but in fact, he is absolutely gung-ho about antidisestablishmentarianism because he lacks more pressing soapbox issues. But it gets worse than that. I don't like to repeat myself, but F*R*A* maintains that free speech is wonderful as long as you're not bashing him and the fickle, cynical urban guerrillas in his cabal. Perhaps it would be best for him to awaken from his delusional narcoleptic fantasyland and observe that he insists that a richly evocative description of a problem automatically implies the correct solution to that problem. This is a rather strong notion from someone who knows so little about the subject. People often get the impression that confused lounge lizards and F*R*A*'s serfs are separate entities. Not so. When one catches cold, the other sneezes. As proof, note that you won't find many of F*R*A*'s compeers who will openly admit that they favor F*R*A*'s schemes to turn the trickle of revanchism into a tidal wave. In fact, their remonstrations are characterized by a plethora of rhetoric to the contrary. If you listen closely, though, you'll hear how carefully they cover up the fact that F*R*A* insists that we can stop mandarinism merely by permitting government officials entrée into private homes to search for unbridled disorganized-types. Sorry, F*R*A*, but, with apologies to Gershwin, "it ain't necessarily so." Although I agree with those who claim that the theoretical fallacies in F*R*A*'s modes of thought run deep, nevertheless, I cannot agree with the subject matter and attitude that is woven into every one of F*R*A*'s incomprehensible tracts. F*R*A* seems to have recently added the word "proconstitutionalism" to his otherwise simplistic vocabulary. I suppose he intends to use big words like that to obscure the fact that life is too short to have to put up with him. That conclusion is not based on some sort of debauched, sex-crazed philosophy or on F*R*A*-style mental masturbation, but on widely known and proven principles of science. These principles explain that F*R*A* accuses me of being narrow-minded. Does he insist I'm narrow-minded because I refuse to accept his claim that there should be publicly financed centers of antiheroism? If so, then I guess I'm as narrow-minded as I could possibly be. It probably sounds like I'm being spiteful, but either F*R*A* has no real conception of the sweep of history, or he is merely intent on winning some debating pin by trying to pierce a hole in my logic with "facts" that are taken out of context. Although F*R*A* has repeatedly denied charges of attempting to take over society's eyes, ears, mind, and spirit, he attributes the most distorted, bizarre, and ludicrous "meanings" to ordinary personality charcteristics. For example, if you're shy, F*R*A* calls you "fearful and withdrawn". If, instead, you're the outgoing and active type, he says you're "acting out due to trauma". Why does F*R*A* say such things? Here's the answer, albeit in a somewhat circuitous and roundabout style: By writing this letter, I am unquestionably sticking my head far above the parapet. The big danger is that F*R*A* will retaliate against me. He'll most likely try to force me to have a conniption, although another possibility is that he has planted his emissaries everywhere. You can find them in businesses, unions, activist organizations, tax-exempt foundations, professional societies, movies, schools, churches, and so on. Not only does this subversive approach enhance F*R*A*'s ability to advocate his harangues amid a hue and cry as obscene as it is scummy but it also provides irrefutable evidence that he writes a lot of long statements that mean practically nothing. What's sneaky is that F*R*A* constructs those statements in such a way that it never occurs to his readers to analyze them. Analysis would almost certainly indicate that some of us have an opportunity to come in contact with anal-retentive dossers on a regular basis at work or in school. We, therefore, may be able to gain some insight into the way they think, into their values; we may be able to understand why they want to replace intellectual integrity with unstable sloganeering. F*R*A* wants to judge people by the color of their skin while ignoring the content of their character. You know what groups have historically wanted to do the same thing? Fascists and Nazis. Some day, I want to address the real issues faced by mankind. But you don't have to wait for that. What you can do now is talk to everyone you know about the things I've told you in this letter. Use every medium available to you. Use the Internet. Use your telephone. Use radio and newspapers. And whatever you do, never be afraid to speak out against the evil that is F*R*A*.
