I know someone who stopped having periods on her own. She didn't need any pill, it just happened.

I think it's unnatural to play around with biology in this way, but that's just a vague hunch, please don't play the vag card on me.

He just means that he doesnt know much about it, I dont know many guys that want to talk about girls bleeding down there.. When it comes to that time of the month they kinda just stay away hahah. But if youd like to discuss. lets hear it

I don't care if its unnatural. No matter how nautural it is to get it, it's not fun when you have it for you or the people around you..haha

Some of us don't want to reproduce and see it happening, even if its just three days out of the month as a pain in the ass.

but that's just me, people can make whatever choices they'd like, just don't tell me what i can and cannot do with my body unless it is life threatening.

Scientists have found that this is both beneficial to the body and harmful, I'd be more convinced to not do so only if there was more convincing evidence towards the latter released.

You've got to admit, it's a pretty amazing process. When you look at all the things that have to go right, fertility really is a miracle.

The funny part girls taking the shot right now are actually the guinea pigs for this form of birth control, i guess we shall see what really happens 10-15 years down the road, maybe then there will be more convincing evidence towards the latter.

it'd be nice to just get rid of it...
i get the visit from aunt flow more often on the pill then off. so.. yeah...

maybe i'd just take it during the sumer... haha.
then i could be worry free.

plus the whole, 'it lower your chances of getting pregnant at all' thing... arent you supose to wait a year or something if you wanna make babies. so you body can get use to being off the bc?! cuz if you've been on it a long time, you body isnt goin to ajust, just like -that- and be use to being off it.

One therory on Autsim and children with global delay may be from the shots your given as a baby. The girl I work with now can barly walk, not talk, and from our understanding cant understand more then a 1 year old could... her parents beleive they didnt see any symptoms until AFTER the shots.
I forget exactly, but I did hear that some country like sweeden did a study on the vaccins we give to babies and there were links to austism and other disabilities.

If it doesn't make me crazy and fuck with my cycle like the shot did, I'm on it like a fat kid on a Smartie. Otherwise I'll suffer through the non-hormonal monthly hell of my IUD (period and cramps are less fun, but I feel better about not pumping my body full of hormones).

And seriously, if men bled out their peen every month, this would have been fast tracked to the consumers YEARS ago. ;) :p

They've been saying this for years...There's all kinds of weird side-effects of the shots we're given as kids. When my best friend started kindergarten and got her measles shot, the side effect was rheumatoid arthritis. She has a moderate to serious case of it in her knees, not to mention a milder case of it in many of the other joints in her body.

There's a pill. It stops your rag? Forever? (I'm assuming this is a contraceptive device )

So it says to your body, "yo, don't bleed that egg out of your vag". Does it stop someone from being fertile? I don't get it.

I'm assuming here that all it is is a 4 week cycle of pills similar to what most women take now. I'm pretty sure the reason that women taking the pill get periods is because they stop taking the pill for a week or take a week of placebos. On that theory, if someone was to take pills continuously, they would be able to not have a period or have a very, VERY light one (because all the pill does is trick your body into thinking that it's already preggers). In fact, I've heard of girls doing that when travelling to avoid getting their rag.

I never said whether periods are healthy or not, or that they aren't linked with any diseases/illnesses. I was just commenting on one of the relationships between women today and having more frequent/earlier periods. Much of that information is from: magazines (NutrionAction, Alive, etc.) that reprint a lot of info from recent food, vitamin, and drug related studies, classes (anth, hist, psyc-developmentally related mostly etc.), and from the experiences of friends.
