The venue was tight. Wicked show, great crowd! The lineup for booze was a little bit of a pain at times, but we managed! Akeel, you played a wicked 3 hour set (i'm sure you hadnt planned for that, but it's your ability to keep the place bumpin despite unforseen complications that makes you 'The Shit!')
Thanks for the good time! For those of you who said it wouldnt be a good venue: You obviously dont have what it takes to pull it off i guess. Never miss a pound event. Never. |

Akeel was garbage. he trainwrecked a number of times. There were no headliners, Midi nor Autobotz showed up. the smartest decision you made was leaving, but really it was kinda dumb, cause who goes to a show to miss the headliners. Pound productions, you guys should be ashamed of yourselves. Putting akeel in as your headliner was a huge mistake. He is not the solution to anything. what are you going to do to compensate everyone you lied too? |

^ Sean or one of the offical Pound boys will answer all of your questions as soon as they can.
I am unfortunatly unable to do so.... Before you hear an explination please keep your petty comments to yourself. There is a complete and vailid reason as to why Paul and Jez were not there and a solution that should satisfy most if not all of those who were dissapointed or upset with this show. Thank you. |

The facts:
Although I see how the promoters were put in a very tough position, that's all part of the game and they should have been professional enough to handle it very differently! An announcement that there would be no headliners and offers for full, or at least partial refunds was clearly the way to handle it. They had MCs that were still yelling about 'Autobots and General Midi' at 1 am! The crowd had a right to know the truth, but instead they kept everyone in the dark (and as a result seem to have kept everyone's money at the same time). By lying to everyone including their MCs, and dealing with the situation by simply leaving Akeel playing for hour after painful hour, all these promoters did was make themselves look very very bad. The situation itself apparently couldn't be helped, but the way it was handled COULD HAVE. Why should they be given a chance to 'make it up' They have posted NOTHING, and haven't even acknowledged what happened or offered explanations and refunds. I've been around the scene for a long time now and this is the single most unprofessional thing i've ever seen. A crowd of hundreds of expecting people were left standing in confusion all night, wondering where the headliners they paid to see were, and why Akeel seemed to just keep on playing. I personally will never attend another 'Pound' event and i really hope that someone from the company does something very fast (at this point i see nothing short of full refunds can save them) to remedy the situation. WallyChamp and every other person who paid good money for nothing has every right to be mad and deserves their money back.
