However, in the situation that he was in he definately needed to find another venue. And he did. He threw his party there and it didnt get busted. I actually think it did quite good on not getting the party busted, the party went all night. I personally think that some other promoters could maybe learn from him on that, maybe their parties wont get busted. Yea Matt screwed up, but I dont think anyone should be telling him not to throw other parties. U-neek was an awsome party, in some ways I think its a step up for him. I also think that in someways its a couple step back to the bottom. He does have a couple things he needs to get more organized and put more thought into before his next party. Keep in mind, this is just my opinion on the topic. |

He advertised falsely ok well he did that wasnt right or proper of him but he found a backup place wasnt as nice as MLC or had an outdoor smoking area. But hey the party did go down it went all night without to many huge problems.. Hey Tina I know you loved the light show with my cigarrette when the lights went out.. Ha so many fun times last night.. |

Good stuff
Regardless of the venue gong show I thought the party turned out great. Could have used a little more in the way of ventilation (like any lol) and maby a few extra guys in the security department; seriously two staff girls shouldn't have to deal with trouble at the front door.
Other than that I'm just glad that it went through and had some kick ass beats. |

If promoters/entertainers/whatevers... Weren't so worried about making a nickle, Parties would be waaaaaaaaay better off.
Get the dollar signs outta your eyes kids, it aint gonna get you anywhere. If you focus more on the party then the money.. Things more then likely.. WILL work out better for you. IMO. |

He was lucky that's all. There was nothing he did different that others don't do to ensure that the party doesn't get busted. I think that he had every intention of throwing the party at Maritime but couldn't because he was relying on presale money to pay for things. Maritime is very expensive compared to a party at the korean. I think that as the weeks went by he realised that there was no money coming in and he got screwed! He should learn that he needs money up front I'm glad the party didn't get busted but if it did that would've been horrible because people had faith in his word that it was a legal event. Then they would think twice about buying presales for legal parties. Then we're all losers Jovi is right when she says some promoters should get dollar signs out of their eyes. But some kids gotta understand throwing parties is a big business and they cost a lot of money. The stakes are high. And when someone is screwing things up for others, because they won't listen to advice and warnings they need to be dealt with accordingly |

Hey guys. Well that was a successful trip to Canada. I'd like to thank Josh and Matt for coming threw and paying me and Kaboom properly, as well as lucking out and having the party go all night. Thanks a lot for the booking, and the opportunity to come play in Van again.
Big hugs to my girlfriend Ashes, you are the shit baby, it was fun as always. Thanks to AJ, Kid Kaboom, for driving and all the hospitality as usual. 'Sup to Tara, Verbal Assassin, The two Trance Addict shirt wearing kids, Nadia, Mike, Shannon, Capital, Cyrus, and all the other cats I met/saw up there. I hope everyone enjoyed my set. I believe my style might be a little odd, because I do mix together harder sounds with more traditional Trance. I know people on the dance floor were digging it, cause the needles kept skipping like crazy. That was annoying, but what can you do. I also played some older cuts last night (three to be exact), just cause I'm a sucker for those older tracks, and one was a request. N E Ways, if anyone would like to check out one of my demos, it can be downloaded here (right click and save as): http://students.washington.edu/camel...a/vitality.mp3 If anyone wants to come to Seattle to check out a party you should hit me up. I'm at most of the good ones, either playing or just hanging out, so yeah, hit me up!! Laterz SC |
