ok lemme some this up...
bla bla bla... bla... bla bla.. ok there... now that thats all said and done... venue... not so good... ever been to an abandoned warehouse party on mitchel island tho? come on... who cares if the bathrooms hadnt been cleaned in years... consider it the theme of the party... :P high school dance meets large music... large talent... large amount of drugs talent... very good... personally looking at the lineups of parties... this one easily had the best dj's line up for october. i was excited cuz there are quite a few dj's there that would have and could have used 3 turn tables... its a shame they didnt get that opportunity but what ever... they still kick ass. stop being so judgemental people :P haha last 2 things ive been to... this... summer breakz 3 hahah fuckin korean center... and completely littered field from apex which went nicely with huge downpore but guess what... i had a FUCKING blast at each... yes... the vitamin rainbow helps, but so does the intent to go there and have fun. as for people thinking they payed to much... i bought 10 vip tix... before hand... am i going to complain? naaw... sure i paid the extra to by pass the non existant line... go in the non existant vip room and get non existant free water... BUT i did get the opportunity to pay for/support the dj's i like. and it just so happend they were all at the same fucking place playing some fucking good tunes big tunes in the main room... was anyone complainin about that sound? haha nope sure the lil room had some weird issues... but hey... its all good... as for illegal venues... anyone remember one that al harding and the pound guys put on a long time back... warehouse party in surrey... people picked up in moving vans... and delivered... all i gotta say is... i want more :P |

Yes but was that not what people paid for? Rather then getting dump on you last minute? Was not the ticket price low?

The weird issue I think you are talking about it that the CD decks did not take well to the rain in side the venue. Or are you talking about not liking down tempo music. Last edited by Crazy Dave; Oct 13, 04 at 02:12 PM. |

I concur....
There is no way ever to please everyone... and there will always be people who think/speak negatively of the scene... It's those people who talk SHIT about the scene that are bringing it DOWN... there's people out there who are really stoked on parties, even ones that aren't legit, just because they've never been able to experience any other parties, like from way back, old skool stylz... when it was really a culture, and not just another "lower class" of people in society's eyes... If people realized that the outcome of the party is in their own hands they'd see that any party can be THE SHIT. You make it as fun as you are and as positive as you are while you are there. People at parties feed off of eachother's vibes, and if there are hella people just being frustrated or unhappy, it rubs off and affects the atmosphere more than most realize... Kidz just need to be stoked, cuz DUDE, at least there is a party to go to, at least there are other kids to be there, at least there is a PHAT plethera of BEATS to listen to, how lucky are we for THAT? And how lucky are we that it CAN be legal... we need to reform our ideas about why we go to parties.... parties are for laughing, DANCING, and hearing SICK DJs... Parties are NOT supposed to be about DRAMA, or MONEY... thats just fukn stupid.... And last of all... P.L.U.R baby?! There used to be a whole subculture built around that... and it involves REAL things that REALLY ARE important for the scene... fuck these promoter wars... why not just work together? so everyone can break even, or maybe make a buck... but thats not why people throw parties, its so people can be brought together for fucks sake.... SO YEAH..... PLUR WUT. |

Ha. After reading what Matt had to say and everyone else….I don’t even know where to begin.
First of all I didn’t go to this party. From the very beginning I thought of the promoters as being very ignorant, cocky and inexperienced. There for I refused to spend my money on a ticket. Now I am so glad that I didn’t. Oh and it’s not the people who go to parties (pay to attend) but promoters who make false promises that RUIN the scene. They are the reason that people bitch about parties not being good. Don’t lie to the people who support you! If you didn’t have people to attend your crappy ass party it never would have happened. If I was to pay $40 for a ticket, showed up and it was at the Korean I would have demanded my money back. I have never paid over $15 to be at the Korean. That place is a shit hole. Anyways I’m at work right now and can’t really elaborate on this. But as I’ve said many times before I only go to Agroculture/DA/swiftbeat parties. That is because the promoters are awesome good people. And they won’t lie to you. If something is up or has to change with regards to the party they let you know in advance. I would never ever pay now after reading about this to go to one of your parties Matt. Learn a bit more before you try this again. |
