I personally don't know a police officer, and haven't known one for the two year minimum. I asked someone, and spoke to an officer who said he would NOT sign the application because he could lose his badge if they checked into it. Same deal with my current doctor and dentist. |

but as I said, I could be mistaken. Everyone I spoke to seemed to think it was possible,
and yet no one has actually done it themselves. And when I read the instructions very carefully I came to the conclusion that it was not possible. Notary's are just the only person on the first list that can sign the Declaration in Lieu of....which still takes months |

That cant be right about the 2 years thing necessarily. I mean how do you get a child under the age of 2 a passport? Not to mention I am sure there are LOTS of other ppl who run into similar problems as Alison.
Alison I remember when I got my 1st pass port I had to pay $60-$80 for a clinic Dr. to do it. I had to pay the money because I didnt know her for two years and wasnt my registered family Dr. However that was 6 years ago. Alison you may have to get creative with this. Even if you had any teachers who earned their masters and became a Dr??? |

What are the guarantor requirements for children? When a child’s passport application is submitted, the applicant is the parent and not the child. Therefore, the guarantor must know the parent personally for at least two years and have knowledge of the child. |
