any tips for someone who wants to get into dj'ing? (publicly)

so the tips I've learned are:

1. practice!, know my music, record and listen to my own mixes
2. 'it pays to have it professionally engineered'
3. sell out (to get whatever gig I can - make a name, get comfortable playing shitty places - if need be, .. )
4. Don't be a Rickie Onion!
5. go to ppcock's pad, so he can hear how much of a "dj-sucks-like-shit" I am.. but don't go alone.. 'cause I'll turn out gay like Christopher Sheppard.
6. and don't wear lingerie.
