/\ I will def. save you a copy bro! Right next to the Sessions 3 copy :) hehehehhe..
Here is the press release on this: Sat. Aug. 18, 2007 marks the much anticipated release of the forth installment in the Signal Sessions double CD series. This edition features mixes by residents Abasi and Male Model Machine . On CD1 , DJ Abasi takes you through a musical adventure that represent the "Signal Sound" from start of the night to the end, crossing many corners of dance music's past and present summarized into 73 minutes. With this challenging task at hand, the mix begins with electro-funk jams of Canada's Neighbourhood Romeo , moving to the oldskool-electro-meets-newskool styles of Newcleus vs. DJ T. and carrying on with the dance-pop sounds of Data80 and Boys Noize remix of Feist , visiting the land of Italo/SpaceDisco along the way via Giorgio Moroder and Lindstrom . Other highlights include the trippy-techno-madness of Carl Craig 's remix of Delia Gonzalez & Gavin Russom 's "Revelee" mashed up with Swayzak 's minimal-house gem "Ping Pong" and Daft Punk's Thomas Bangaltar doing an epic rework of Signatune by Ed Banger record's DJ Mehdi . The mix finishes off on the deep/minimal tip, creating a smooth blend of Troy Pierce & HeartThrob 's remake of the classic "House Nation", into Joakim 's remake of the early 80s electro-funk/jazz gem "Camino Del Sol" by Antena , and the beautiful DFA remix of Hot Chip 's "Just Like We (Breakdown)". On CD2 , the amazing Signal resident DJ/production duo of Male Model Machine take control at the helm and deliver a mix like no other. They accomplish this by showcasing some of their current favorite tracks, as well as a few of their our own excellent production work. Tracks such as "Menace" released recently on BluFin records (Germany), as well as the unreleased "Crowd Control" bring to the mix two of this duo's own latest production work. The mix picks up in energy and intensity as it progresses, and finishes with the aggressive and bass heavy sound club goers have come to expect from their sets. The duo include tracks by some of their favorite producers/friends such as John Aquaviva & Zenker 's "Swimming with Sharks", John Dahlback 's "Sting" and Sebastien Leger & Chris Lake 's "Stripped Flower". and remember, there are only 150 copies, given out on a first come first serve basis, so get there early! ;-) -f. |
