So.... how was everyone's weekend? Hope it was a good one and you got out and about despite the snow :-)
This coming Saturday, Dec. 8, we have Hirshee vs. Ollie Ple with Char Owen on vocals! Now that is a formula for a good time! And SiGNAL resident Andy Clockwork will be warming things up proper. So, this Saturday Dec. 15, 2007, our residents Abasi and Woodhead have decided to kick things up a notch and challenge each other to an all night, 1-for-1 battle behind the wheels of steel. Come witness these two as they play for 5.5hrs non-stop, and kill it on the dancefloor and behind the decks. Will Abasi's acapella and sample layered super mixes slay Woodhead? Will Woodhead's incredible edits and remixes explode Abasi's head and shed his blood all over the DJ booth? You will have to find out for yourselves... but one thing is for sure: this Saturday @ SiGNAL will probably be the richest night musically, and the best night for Electronic Dance Music in Vancouver! Also: seeing as it is the season to give, we are doing a Food Bank drive, so 2 donations to the Food Bank get you in FREE! So bring it down for a good cause. Don't miss out. SiGNAL presents: theme party 04 Toques and Turtlenecks (and tacky sweaters) w/ special guest Paul Devro + residents G-Rock and Andy Clockwork Paul Devro has been rockin' the world over in the last year! Coming from our own Vancouver, he has quickly become the man in demand! From running Diplo's Mad Decent blog, bringing Justice to Vancouver and opening for 2ManyDJs, to playing DJ sets at Fabric, he seems to keep quite busy these days. He is going to be joining our residents G-Rock and Andy Clockwork, in a toque vs. turtleneck dance off! Well, they will be playing the music while you do the dance off! with some of you in your tacky sweaters cheering on from the sidelines. For the 4th in our theme party series, you need to wear a toque, turtleneck or your tackiest sweater to get in 1/2 price + score a free drink! Don't do it, and pay cover and buy your own drink.
