i agree a lot of the time it is affiliates of the promoter that say things along those lines but i'm a firm believer that the best company is the company you keep and i've had some GREAT times at little "shitty" undersold parties. great party does not equal great amount of people imo.

I had great times at 1/2-full or 1/4 full parties too but i wouldn't call it the "best party ever" - more like "that party was fun - wish more people showed up!"

Anyway, I thrown my fair share of badly attended parties - some which are fun and some which are painful (to my bank account).

As for Casino Noel...

so my mom knows nuthing about raves... only that I go to them and the music and dancing and blah blah blah all that stuff and well she read this article... hahaha can anyone say damage control ?

I mean I told her this stuff does go on... but ugh its such a pain in the ass to explain how one sided and sketchy the info that was put in is

Who really calls them "raves" anymore? Only parties I've seen that still promote themselves as "raves" are the outdoor ones. Indoor studio and warehouse parties are usually just considered afterhours.

less experienced people call them raves, raves where those happy hardcore parties you used to go to when you where 12,13,14 years old.

I/we/you stopped calling them raves because the media and all the things associated with the word "rave" were very negative. point out a current flyer that has the word "rave" printed out it. see?
