I guess alex does bring up a good point tho. It might be an arguement between the difference of how much you're "worth" and how much you actually "earn".

Driven, enthusiastic employees can earn a living just as easily earning their commission through telephone sales. However it seems that the educated are worth more per hour because of qualifications. And there are higher end jobs that pay you through benefits, a nicer work enviroment/lifestyle, and pay you less in exchange. Which contrasts a job that is repetetive and has a high turn-over rate but pays well. Garbage men get paid well. Why isn't everyone doing that?

If I were being paid just enough to get by, I'd like to work at a record shop.

like senior said, wether you sell cars,insurence,real estate or ads the process of the sale remains the same. but, true,what you sell and for what company CAN make a diffference.
