as a man that has been planning to join the armed forces since i was 14, i have obviously followed very closely with what goes on with our diplomatic stances and i keep my ears open for signs of instability.

now you and i would take this as propoganda as every country has propoganda. but then i looked into it and ever since this happened, our military has done extensive training up north, in particular training troops how to properly defend and protect oil rigs and pipeline, and the rcmp has done training with them in these areas.

this is not the only thing, but one of the major factors in my decision.

elections are never about choosing your favorite candidate, especially not in canada. elections are very much about who do you think WONT fuck things up for us. who is the lesser of the evils? i know none of these men will make my life any better. but i also know that based on my proffession of choice, 2 of the 3 main parties WILL fuck things up for the country in terms of militarization.

hey i am not denying its all fucked. i see the evidence every day. im not saying its not there. i just said i think there are more important thing to worry about. the absolute best policy isnt a top priority right now imo. we do need something in place. and i really dislike the fact that the cons said no to kyoto. i just think its silly to base an election on the enviroment. yes it does need to be a priority for sure, no doubt. but to make it a top priority is silly.

Just so you're clear, the prime minister does not decide on the training excerises for the RCMP or Armed forces. This is decided at a lower level...

im fully aware of this ninja. i must have been unclear. my intention with making that point is that shit is going to hit the fan very soon and denying that is no good. the training point was just to send it home that it is no joke that homeland security is at risk and i am not being brainwashed or whatever she was saying. if you look back, i did not make a link between military exercise and the government, i merely stated it was happening.

how this ties in with the prime minister is that when shit DOES hit the fan, like the cf is preparing for, i would like a leader that knows how to lead a country that is attacking and/or being attacked.

what people dont understand is that "the scientists" disagree with all of the other scientists. nobody in the field agrees with everybody else. this goes for all things being researched essentially.
so i guess people take it upon themselves to find the researched problems, and then try to find someone or something to blame, and then need to find a way to fix it. alot of people dont understand natural cycles of life and death, wether it be the planet, living creatures, or any concept for that matter. people think everything should be saved. animals shouldnt go extinct and planets should not change.
