Kim does make a good point. Even standing out in that parking lot helping people who were maced; I was scared that there was going to be a drive by.

It's reaaal sad we start this out talking about how sad it is that this had to go down, and how appalling this display of unnecessary violence is.

However, as we read page by page, and even in the review I see more people threatening violence and using harsh words towards eachother.

Do we ever learn?

Maybe we should all try to step back a moment and stop pointing fingers at whoever you have in your own minds whose fault it is, and while we're at it stop saying heated things when we go into ultra defensive mode. I'm 100% certain that there's been lessons learned on behalf of the promoters as a result of these actions, and I'm also certain that we don't need to keep bringing up things that have already been discussed. No matter how much people scold them, it's not going to change a thing that happened, but the lessons learned can perhaps change things from happening in the future.

Anyways, we shouldn't forget what we saw. And we should not have negativity towards eachother coming out of this at all. So please, try to respect eachother.

I was trying to accomplish the same objective. My approach wasn't as eloquent, however.

I just figure preaching about what should have been done doesn't help.

that is bear mace.

i am not posting this picture to get any guff for it either. so please refrain. if someone wants it removed let me know. it is photo-journalism if anything.

the mace was sprayed thru the broken door window after it had been shattered. the majority of people rushed out within 1 minute of it being sprayed. it was damn powerful, the guy who is right in it, and the guy in black on the right rushing away with everyone else got it right in the face.

i'm not sure what can be done about bear mace if someone is going to use it on anyone.

I was at the door when they came. I was the one taking their money. Believe me they were taken outside and then they broke a window and maced the place. There was NOTHING anyone could have done. There was about 10 of them and they rushed the door. I was right by the door when the mace happened. Even if Genisus was there they still would have done what they came there to do.

That was a damn good show. Swiftbeats never disapionts me. I'm glad I went even if I couldn't see for a little while. I still have mad respect for each of them. And I thank them for everything they did for all of us regarding the incodent. It could have been worse. We are all lucky everyone lived.

Obviously the owners of the venue who were hanging around all night called the police right away once that started happening for fear of their own safety and their building. Rationalizing it out, if Genesis had been there they woulda tried to talk the evil people out of it. But if that didn't work and the evil guys still forced their way in, Genesis would have retreated and not fought back like the people at the door did and they woulda called the cops right away. Which is what the owners did anyway. The difference here is that the people at the door fought back and bear mace came out then. Maybe the image of stronger professional security might have prevented the evil people from being so violent and persistent but WHO KNOWS!!??

There was a firetruck already there, which i thought was odd, maybe because police were there about 20 mins prior but left. At that time Soma and Akeel turned down the music for a bit. Then they went away and it was turned up again. Then shit happened.

When I was driving away from the party 4 police cars flew by me really fast. But we were already gone and so was everyone else. It happened way too fast for police to have gotten there in time. Like I said, everyone was out outta that place in less than 2 minutes or you were coughin, choaking and could not breathe or see.

BOTTOM LINE: What is done is done. Why doesn't everyone stop bitching about it, stop creating more enemies and disputes over little things said about the past! We need to stick together when shit like this happens. So in the kindest way, shut the fuck up now everyone because it is done and over. We've seen everyone's point and if someone doesnt get your point, then they probably aint gonna anyway. Why make a bad situation (and implications to the scene overall) worse with words? Please people.
