I've had done a few parties (aimed at people normal on this board, rather then hippy/older mixed with young people). Even with train licensed security shit goes down, and most of them wimp out or don't do shit right.
Heck I had a party I had stop a fight with some stupid kids that attacked agro-dave & his cousin. My security did shit. I had personally start tossing people about,,, still the even with direction from me the security really did not know who to handle a battle royal. Worse I had to take on 4 Vietnamese kids one with a knife to protect one of my security guards. He was fucking hopeless with multiple people. So do any of you really think security could have helped with some thing like this? hahahah but sorry go fuck your selves.

Alright, well, i have read every single post, and at first, i was shoked, the first few pages is nothing but "sick party, shitty what happened." It wasn't just shitty, it was str8 FUCKED UP. My homie saw some rave hoes getting beat in the head with metal pipes... what did THOSE 14 FUCKING YEAR OLD girls have to do with these peoples beef?? what did ANY of the innocent people that got hurt have to do with it?
Props to swiftbeats for trying their best ta get those fuckers out. Once shit like this starts, it can escalate into chaos...At least no one was killed. I don't know how quickly it ended, but by the time i got outside, through a door off the stage, there were no cars in the alley. Luckily for me, all my homies, were behind the stage with us, and we got to mob out right away. all i can say, is this kinda shit NEVER goes down in seattle. i remember one party, a few years ago, where a dude, who owed abunch of people money, and who no one even really liked, started ta get beat, and woulda ended up god knows how bad... but it didn't matter, everyone in that place jumped their asses and took them down, yeah, they had weapons, but the thing is, in our scene, since it is alot smaller, everyone is close, and it doesnt matter who is targeted by violence, it just wont go down. those fools got rocked. I'm not saying there is never violence here, because that would be untrue, but there is not violence like that. people may have beef, and there might be a fist fight, or some hardcore wrestling, but no one is stabbing anyone, or beating people with metal pipes, or fucking busting out bear mace. fuck that. i understand that knives and bear mace constitute some serious shit, but at the same time, i have to ask, if it had nothing to do with swiftbeats, why were those people there at all? it's not like they'd just decide, 'hey lets fuck up some people at this party' that would be ridiculous. they wouldn't go without reason... I'm not trying to blame u guyz, cuz got luv for ya'll u kno? I'm just trying ta say, like, why were they there? I also know, that more security, may have deterred them from coming in the first place, but would not have kept them out. those people were determined to get in. A friend of mine saw them roll up in the alley behind the venue, they str8 jumped outta their cars and mobbed inside, right away, it's not like there was any time for warnings or preperations. Also, this is something you have to consider when going to underground or illegal parties, some of the people who posted above, i agree with, in that, you aren't paying for extra security, you are paying a smaller amount to have a place where you can do what you wish, for the most part. If you do not realize the risk, then perhaps you should reconsider your reasons for attending such events, because there is always a chance, no matter WHO is throwing the party, that some wack jobs will come in and start some shit. Thats just how it goes, cuz there are alot of fucked up people out there, and just because YOU wouldn't hurt anyone else, doesnt mean that everyone else there feels that way. I was shocked and shaken afterwards. i have never seen shit that hardcore go down at a party... i know everyone just jokes about plur now, but thats what the scene actually used to be about, it was a philosophy, and tonz of people lived by it. what happened to those days? unity? this is the most divided scene i have witnessed. str8 gang WARFARE, at a place where people are supposed to be coming together, and having good times, enjoying phat beats... I hope that everyone who was hurt, has gotten the care they need, and good luck in healing. Its awful that this went down, and for everyone's sake i hope that it never happens again. As far as the venue, who cares dude? it's about the people, if you lost one venue, because of this incident, that wouldn't be the worst thing, there are always other venues, you just have to find them. It's fucked because the owners of the venue have to deal with all these damages and whatnot... but that isnt so bad. things can be fixed. on the other hand, you cant always fix people, and you can't take back lives already lost. It was strange for me, because I couldn't see the intruders, i was behind the panels right by the door, when the glass started breaking, i saw this smoke fill the room and ran back behind the stage, grabbing my man off the stage, and as i stood there, i could just feel something, before i knew anyone had gotten really hurt, it was like i could feel that someone's blood had been spilt. i can't really explain it other than i felt like i could smell it or something, i could just felt that it was there, that something serious, and life threatenting, had happened. And then i grabbed my girl mar. we lost our friend john somewhere in the mess, and after yelling 'john m, john m!' for a little while we decided that it was time to just go and had to mob out to the car, i hoped he had a good enough homing device to just come back to there, and tru enuf, a minute later, here's john, and we're on our way out. It was mad insanity, and i don't even understand what could make anyone that angry that they would go bust into some public event, and start fucking people up in such a serious way. I dont think anything constitutes a good enough reason, whether it involved, territory, money, or drugs, it doesnt matter, those things dont matter, when it comes to people's lives.
