Yeah, I kinda called the dbags two years ago. Main reason I haven't been inclined to go recently. Just that Apex fallout means more teenager newb party people to accompany the douchebags.

Glowstick breakers were late teens, not 20somethings.

Yes, I was one of the 20somethings sitting back and laughing at ravers last year.

Thing is, when I went to Shambhala it was mostly made up veteran party people.... people who had been through the party thing for a number of years and pretty much knew how to handle themselves.

Increase of the douchebag quotient is something I've kinda been worried about lately. Throw into it nubile ravers looking for their first major drug experience... ugh, nothing good can come from this.

just so you know. promoters like dbag money more than veterans cause they actually pay. shambhala stays in business cause of dbag dollars. so does apex. so does soundwave. so while i get why you prefer the veterans, suck it up. dbags make the party world go round.

It's not a matter of the presence of dbags, that's not my issue. It's the signal-to-noise ratio. Too many dbags just leads to a dbag party, and I'm not exactly that interested in that.

It's entirely possible to go to a party with minimal douchebaggery. Just because every party has douchebags doesn't mean that every party is a douchebag party. ken?

hmm i dont think it will be fun being 30 and making fun of 20 somethings cause by then we will likely be able to see through age/maturity level bullshit so easily and will likely be bored of it.
which is why we better get it out of the way now, while its still fun and we are still relatively stupid.

Yeah, most of my 30something friends still make fun of me because of the stupid things I do.

But it's usually the equivalent of taking the piss, and helps me realize that I'm doing stupid things. So it's not without purpose. At my current age, I just enjoy watching the kids get huffed when I point out something silly they're doing.

who gives a flying fuck... go there, have fun and then go home with some good memories with some friends

why do people take partying so seriously?

and btw, why would someone laugh at someone throwing broken glowsticks on someone just because they are new to raving and are having a blast... so what if they are using glowsticks...

reminds me of the jungle freaks who were imitating some kids doing liquid and laughing at them... yeah..... how stupid of the kids to be interested in a form of dance that is new to them and fun for them....

i doubt shambhala is going to get any apex fallout, its an 8 hour drive from vancouver with tickets that cost over 150 bucks. apex is 45 minutes from vancouver and 15 dollar tickets only the hardest partiers go to shambles.

we dont have that demographic in canada, dance music is not mainstream or popular here and because of that you will never get events like those in europe because there is no profit in it.
