Girls may be complicated, as are guys, but in general when two people actually like each other the complications tend to slip away fast. I always see people struggle through the beginings of relationships which never last, when its meant to be there isn't as much of that or atleast there hasn't been in my experiance.

The complicated stuff, should come much later and result in a better relationship.

I think the best advice has been to just talk to her, if you are having sex with someone you can't talk to then that is probably a problem in itself.

My point is that it seems kinda obvious they've already talked about it, and judging from Marty's apprehension about the whole shimmy it sounds like she just doesn't want to talk about it. I agree in asking her what's up, but it sounds like Marty's already tried that and gotten ambiguous results. So he can either deal with the fact that she doesn't want to talk about it - yet - or he can decide this is a deal breaker and end it sooner rather than later. Pressing the matter just builds resentment.

Frankly I think Marty's kinda into this girl so he might stick around.
