it's pretty disingenous to call a team that has won way more than it's lost
huh? and this has added up to how many Stanley Cups? even the 'Coilers' who limped in just ahead of the hometown have had a better run lately than the canucks. they don't give out prizes for finishing in the top 5 in the conference, or for playing this defensive style of hockey you seem to admire so much. read my lips. the canucks will NEVER EVER EVER win a Stanley Cup. they just don't have what it takes. and you can quote me on that. :amuse: |

i love people who bring up stanley cup wins from 20 years ago and imply that it has any bearing on hockey teams of today.
I don't even watch hockey (nor am i a canucks fan), but the retardedness of this just leaks through my computer screen and threatens to gum up my keyboard. |

pointing out your stupidity entertains me more than hockey which is pretty low on my totem pole to begin with.

LITTLEJON THIS WHOLE 'YOUR TEAM IS AT THE TOP OF THE DIVISION, BUT YOU SUCK' THING IS CUTE AND ALL BUT NO MATTER HOW MANY TIMES YOU USE THE BOLD TAG THE FACT IS, OUR TEAM IS DOING WELL, WHILE YOUR TEAM IS A DISMAL FAILURE.
I MEAN, WE'RE 5TH IN THE LEAGUE, YOU'RE 25TH, ITS OBVIOUS YOU'RE JEALOUS OF A TEAM THAT IS STRONGER THAN YOURS IN EVERY ASPECT (MORE GOALS PER GAME, LESS GOALS AGAINST, BETTER HOME RECORD, BETTER AWAY RECORD, BETTER GOALTENDER) YOU SHOULD PROBABLY LEAVE A LITTLE IN THE TANK BECAUSE YOU WILL BE BITCHING ABOUT THE CANUCKS A LOT MORE WHEN WERE IN THE PLAYOFFS, YOU'RE NOT, AND YOU HAVE AT LEAST TWO ROUNDS OF CRYING ABOUT HOW WERE GOING TO LOSE. o |

what is it with canuck fans that they take everything bad that's said about their team so fucking PERSONALLY?
seems like this never-won-a-championship thing makes them all snippy. they get their panties in a knot when it's suggested that their team is nothing more than a goalie. they try and console each other with the fact that, while the team is excruciatingly painful to watch, at least they're WINNING. unfortunately, the path to the cup is going to go through San Jose and Detroit, and the canucks are 0-5 against those 2 teams this year. including tonights loss. which also means that the lowly OILERS are a mere 6 points back of the mighty canucks. |

Best of luck. Check your math, and also check games in hand. Then look at realistic prospects for the rest of the season and get a reality check. |

The only Canucks game I went to, I didn't care for very much. I find Canucks fans worse then Leafs fans to be honest. They just want to pick a fight with you if you cheer for someone else. They can't respect that there are other teams in the NHL... that have a fan base.
... at least I can have an actual conversation about hockey with a Leafs fan. Edit: Oh and last year... when my team made it to the finals, and people were randomly cheering at me while I was walking down the street in my Sens jersey... I didn't like that at all either. In fact I hated it! Cheer for your own failed team. Don't look to my team to ease your woes. Last edited by Séguin; Jan 12, 08 at 04:27 AM. |

People want a Canadian team to win the Stanley Cup! Is that so wrong? Too bad Ottawa really gagged on it last year :S I mean the Ducks were a tough team, but man.... |

Ebbomega: I couldn't agree more. Junior hockey is becoming more and more entertaining to me. I'm actually going to the World Jrs next year.
Grapes: In post-lock out, Vancouver and Toronto have only met twice. So in my eyes, Vancouver fans don't actually have a reason to hate Toronto. I have more of a reason to hate Toronto, and I don't because they simply aren't a threat. Montreal is a second favourite of mine. They only team I actually "hate", is Philadelphia. As for the cup thing... I want my team to win. I don't care if another "Canadian" team wins it. I didn't cheer on Edmonton or Calgary when they made it to the finals recently. Not my team. Ottawa fans aren't used to people from outside Ottawa cheering for their team. When I see another person around Van with a Sens jersey or hat on. I assume their from Ottawa too. |

^ I wrote a reply to this and it disappeared :(
Anyways I understand not caring if another Canadian team wins. I don't care much (didn't really watch the Sens/Ducks final), I'd just like to see the reaction afterwards if the Sens won. Leafs, Flames and Oilers I wouldn't want to win. Especially the Leafs.. god, TSN would go on for weeks about it |

JUST BECAUSE YOU DONT UNDERSTAND SOMETHING DOESN'T MEAN IT DOESN'T MAKE SENSE
