Im not talking shit.
Where did I talk shit? i've never ever talked shit about me being the best dj. I dont care about it. If you're going to come to tribeca to make fun of me while tagging techno with akeel - best not come cause you will be dissapointed. I just want to have fun with akeel while playing techno. Is that alright!?!?!?!? And if you guys come back here on friday and say I played shitty.. Then I would like to have your comments backed up with what I did wrong because saying that I was "shitty" means you as well have no proper skills on judging djs. Now that's shit talk. |

is it an alright date? (can you bring that 600 of yours?) = ) Besides.. if a group of people come and demand our set, I doubt he'll say no. |

yeah.. and what's wrong with it?
Is it wrong to be disgusted with people who cant spin... at all? I assumed you guys out of all would've agreed with me. Insulting me with no proof means nothing. I still attend parties that you guys dont set foot in and I see this? my opinion is strong and many have agreed with me. I have no idea what your problem is. maybe you all should come out of your shell and see how it actually is. |

Promoters can save money on djs and just have one guy playing dj tiesto - magik compilations. Can you please paste where I gave out excuses? To tell you the truth, I can spin breaks. I dont play it out because of not feeling comfortable about it. Can you play breaks and have mixes go smoothly? ie: akeel, soma, omega, ill, etc? |

I'd go copy and paste all the times Marty has backpedalled in this thread but I really don't feel like it and I also don't feel the need to make fun of him any more today... I don't even know the guy other than all the shit he talks on this site, which is inconsequential at best mixing breaks smoothly isn't that difficult... no more difficult than mixing house smoothly, once you've practised and you know what to listen in the headphones for... basically every kind of music has different things to listen for and different techniques for mixing it smoothly and keeping a flow going... you've got your breaks mixing where you gotta wait until a certain turning point in the track in order to mix out because the tunes are generally fairly rich in the EQs... you've got your tech house where you can pretty much just mix anywhere as long as you're on time with what's going on in the tune... then there's dnb where the key to mixing it well is cutting and hammering the EQs... you've got your trance and progressive house where the mixing is meant to be smooth transitions between one track and the next so that people don't realize you've mixed into a new tune... then there's your hard techno mixing, where you basically try to mix as quickly as possible and do as much cutting and EQ hammering as you can those aren't strict rules, obviously, but as guidelines I find that those styles work very well for those genres, making for many a night of good times |
