I think Vancouver has a huge soccer interest... we just dont express it. i think more kids grow up playing soccer than they do playing hockey. That goes for both boys and girls. I think that would be really cool and may have a lot of interest... mostly for the David Bekham is hot club.

Becks will probably only play a half. Even though i think Beck is hurting, for any soccer fan it would still be a good opportunity to watch somebody of his level live since we only have the white caps here.

Of course there is the possibility of injury, or of him just going "nah I'm not going up there". You never know, with an exhibition match that's months in the future.

Not only that, apparently England's national team has reversed its decision to drop him (in light of some sub par performances) and will probably recall him for crucial Euro 2008 qualifying games right around the time of the Whitecaps/Galaxy exhibition match.

Bottom line: Becks in Van city is far from a sure thing.
