Your location is key and it doesnt matter who you bring out as a talent, people are not going to pay to go to some shit bar, probably with terrible sound, they'll find somewhere else that's better, cheaper and not in the heart of sketch town.

Marty's been involved in the club scene for a number of years both recreationally and professionally. He really does know what he's talking about, and the fact that you just threw all that really good advice back in his face shows that you don't know the first thing about promoting. You think it's about bringing the love out and plur and all that shit. I'm sorry, but that's not the promoter's job, that's the job of the people the promoter gets out there. What you should be focusing on is getting quality people out to the party. You don't get that by going on local rave forums and bitching out the denizens.
