PS: Claiming that this isn't a promo thread is pretty asinine. Call a spade a spade and just admit that it's promo. You're getting the word out. That is what promo is. Being chatty would be like "Hey, what do you guys think of Keoki?" Only thing worse than blatant promo is pretending that it's not blatant promo.

Putting the name, headliners and date of the party as the subject of the thread means that it is a promo thread, plain and simple.

Just for the record, I've been REALLY excited to see Keoki again.

This thread hardly inspires faith in you, what it does is make me wonder what excuses you will come up with when this is hardly the packed 90's throw back rave your dreaming of. Your collection of plur .gifs is amazing while being tacky but your words are on the opposite end of the spectrum. Also the shameless promotion while claiming your "just chatting" doesn't really seem like your ready to spend money to make this worthwhile. Bringing a dj is small portion of the promotions game, I wouldn't rely on that as your sole trump card. You may be thinking that any exposure is good but you are alienating some of the most respected and experienced posters, people who can sway large groups to or away from your event. This is just my personal impression after going through this.
