I am SO glad I missed this party from what I've heard and read it was quite small and for the majority peopel have said oakenfeld was shit IMF 6 DAYS! |

I had fun, didn't watch Oakenfold for too long but he blew. Tried partying in the house room but holy shit, house has never sounded that bad. The room was narrow so the sound bounced back and forth between the walls. That and the funky basslines were totally hollow or distorted, brutal. Hirsh still threw down a good set, along with Christian as well. Freestylers were pretty sick too. All in all I had a good time and partied with some dope people.

We had Oakenfold here in Edmonton 2 years ago, and well he sucked too. He came on stage and it looked like he was so fucked out of his head he was gonna fall over. He was supposed to play for an hour and a half and well I don't think he got past the hour mark. He played cd's instead of vinyl, doing coke up on stage while playing, and couldn't mix worth shit.
All I have to say is WORST DJ EVER. |

i had a good time. nice to see some familiar faces and to meet some new ones. night went off to a slow start...not a trance fan at all, and the dnb in the other room sounded eck. there was no bass at all and it was pounding in there. not really what i was wanting to hear. hung a lot around the smoke pit until the breaks started flowing. (even though the smoke pit was a bit of a trek, i still loved the fact that there were benches...more area to sit. so much more comfortable for those chain smoking moments.) freestylers were dope...played some wicked older tracks. left a little while after they were done and am thankful that today hasn't been too sketchy. just blazed like a mutha and went to a bbq. imf next week! hyperfunk and simply jeff, i can't wait!

My thoughts...
Unfortunate bumps and slips from very talented local DJs due to the ancient rane rotary mixer. What I don't understand is how a DJ who charges enormous amount of money for a set that would put Barney the dinosaur to sleep would "request" such a hideous piece of equipment. *shakes head* Freestylers & Phynn put on a great show... and so did the locals. Great job to all the DJs that put their "entertaining" smiles to try to show us a great time. Thanks to Twisted for all their hard work and efforts. I left early as Mr. Oakenfold sucked the life outta everything and his "party" started to hunt for prey. We're not booty call... thank you. |
