John Garrett I would not be able to stand in a non-canucks broadcast. Even as a canucks broadcaster he's marginal.

Don Taylor is a fucking hilarious and amazing sportscaster, that being said he does not translate well at all to calling a live game.

My main Garrett pet peeve, even more so than the homerism:

Notice that every time there's a replay, he'll give his take on what happened (which is fine) and then when they run the replay from the 2nd angle, he'll say pretty much the EXACT SAME THING except this time in a different inflection.

Now that I've noticed it I can't un-notice it. :(

This is probably the dumbest thing I've ever heard of, he can't skate out to discuss situations with refs, he can't handle ceremonial stuff, HE CAN'T EVEN WEAR THE "C" DUE TO LEAGUE REGULATIONS!!!

There hasn't been a goalie captain in the NHL since 1948, the reason being...

IT'S ABSOLUTELY USELESS TO DO IT!!!!

Joe Dirt has a little shameless behaviour in the past
Luongo is a good pick. He wants to win, hes our best player, he can handle the spotlight. So what if he cant talk to the refs, its more than that. Plus its a good way to show he is commited and will stay with the team long term.
