^ We would have had to wait years. The Liberals still haven't, in total anyways, paid off their debts from the last leadership election. Their support in form of donations is at an all time low. If a party can't come up with the funding by donations from their supporters to run an election, obviously their views are held by either 1. not nearly enough of the population 2. a section of the population too indifferent to help in any way or 3. a demographic too poor to offer financial support. Obviously the Liberals need to evaluate their party and make changes if they wish to stay in politics. Just because they have a 'strong name' doesn't equate to receiving extra rights in order to always have a strong showing.

Any way you look at it, it's the Liberals fault. The Conservatives would have to be complete idiots to allow the Liberals to rebuild and strengthen their party enough to challenge the Cons.

She flat out gives the information on her biography on her website (and most likely in her book)
As per wikipedia... The information up on it is sometimes a hit and miss on whether if its legit or not. The internet sure is a wonderful place.

imo if i was a capital c Conservative i'd be shook that under pretty ideal conditions my party couldn't form a majority government. i mean the Liberals are a gongshow right now and not many people nationally considered the NDP a legitimate national threat yet before this election. it shouldn't be that hard to gain a majority vs that.

The Cons would have a landslide majority if the Bloc was barred from running(They finished 2nd behind the Bloc in the majority of their 50 seats). Personally I think they have no right to run a party federally with the sole purpose of pandering to 1 province. It's a waste of funding and it impedes progress in our government.
