I'm talking about girls who look like last night was rough EVERY DAY. These girls need to wear makeup to look presentable. Sorry if that's shallow, but first impressions matter, and in my business, you make first impressions all day long, therefore you need to look presentable. As for my essentials: MAC hyper real foundation in NC400 MAC hyper real powder in medium MAC blush in cheek MAC lustreglass in love nectar Bonne Bell vanilla lipsmackers MAC lipgelee in lilacrush Rimmel black eyeliner (not the pencil) MAC paint in baselight MAC splashproof mascara in black Inglot eyeshadow in 18m MAC pigment in naked MAC strobe cream MAC studio fix concealer in NW25 I am such a MAC addict =\ |

I agree, it's one thing to wear no makeup to the beach or if you're out shopping or doing lunch with friends, but I absolutely refuse to wear no makeup to work.
The trick with makeup is to make it look like you're wearing none and to have it enhance your look not make it. Wearing moisturizer and a bit of concealer goes a long way - in the summer because of the humidity (resulting in less sleep - dark undereye circles and the occasional blemish) and in the winter (dry weather - dry, blotchy skin). I think looking presentable is key, I wear very minimal makeup but I wear it well and I always try to look put together which coincides with the fact that I want to go into public relations and networking is key so I have to look 'together.' This has absolutely nothing to do with 'needing' makeup |

if you were trained by pros the first lesson they would have given you was that make is supposed to make a woman a more beautiful version of herself. no need to look like a hooker when i go out. i am going to sink to your level and call you out on your looks, in your picture, you look like death warmed over. barely. your dark make up is reminiscent of grade nine, and toast of new york by revlon. goth and emo are out, healthy and glowing are in. and i wouldnt believe you if you posted your portfolio online for everyone to see. come see me when you have a more intelligent come back then "avana is ugly". |

^ Good tip.
When I'm in Miami I usually put on a layer of moisturizer, then mix my hyper real foundation with my moisturizer in my hands, smear it on like a moisturizer, then blend with a sponge. It's a nice, light coverage that's just perfect for the Miami heat! |

i havent shopped in downtown for monthhhs and i went for a walk the other day and discovered that there's make up forever counters everywhere...and they sell smashbox make up at the shoppers across from pacific center. whao?! im so out dated... we need a sephora up here!
Anyways..went to check out the benefit counter (with my bf... lol) at the richmond center bay and the dt bay and they're both sold out of the "some kind of gorgeous" compact.. wait list for 2 weeks. So that stuff only comes in one color?!?! i find that amazing how it would suit all skin colors. hmmm. anyways.. i need a foundation/power all in one easy to put on compact right away so im gonna check out prescriptives today. wish me luck. any other benefit products worth looking into? |

On my last Benefit bonanza I picked up these lovely items:
Realness of Concealness - A little box of cover ups/quick fixes. Genius! Dr. Feelgood - A (clear) matte primer Lipscription - 2 step to soft lips (exfoliating & super balm) Dallas - 2-in-1 blush/bronzer shade Get Even - Matte/oil absorbing/redness reducing pressed powder. Great alone or over foundation! |
