There are reasons why Evolve gets soo much bashng on fnk... hence why its always brought up, if every person hated every company on this board it be a shit show of a drama fest.

Then what more are you complaining about? $25 + $75 = $100, right? If you were so worried about getting paid the "right amount" why not discuss it with us before hand. Other DJs we contracted for the show made a point to call us and confirm their payrate prior to the event. Bri, for example, explained why we needed to budget extra cash for MC Kay's travel expenses as she'd be coming from the island. We immediately did so as Bri was able to give us a valid reason for the increase.

Further more you left the party with the money that was given to you and never made a fuss about it until later. If there's a problem when I get paid, I don't leave that promoter until I have that cash in hand or have it explained to me why its not there. Rhia, I love you hon, but honestly, what reason should Evolve be forced to pay you more money after the fact?

DJs playing our future shows should take note: Yes, I get annoyed when I get ten calls from each of you regarding your timeslots, I know we can't please everyone, but I don't get annoyed when you call to arrange payment details, if anything I respect you guys more for being business savvy and showing initiative. So if anyone needs to contact/pm/phone me to this regard, please do so, I won't bite and I'm more than willing to discuss it with each of you.

I txt Atilla a msg suggesting he check his pm's. The issue I have is directed to Attila not Evolve why I did not e-mail Evolve. Dabbler said it perfectly... I only found $50 in my envelope and had to go back for $25 after signing for $75 (note to DJ's CHECK UR ENVELOPE BEFORE SIGNING!)

I did try to discuss my pay. However Attilla made a bull shit lied saying Dennis was in-charge of pay and to talk to him. When I talked with you Alji you explained I had to choose between playing for Josh's All female party or Evolves. I explained I would choose who ever offered me the better offer. I explained Josh was willing to pay me $100 hr/ and you also offered a good spot. Josh than offered the same time slot 12-1. However being a house DJ I made the dissition thinking a trance crowed would be more suitable then a DnB crowed.

When I was ready to leave I told Dennis my concern. He claimed he had nothing to do with it and it was Attilia in charge of paying the DJ's. Of corse Atillia was no where to be found.

Furthermore one concern I have and im sure ALOT of DJ's can relate to... I was scared to ask Attilla for money and bargain. Last time he broke a time-slot promise to me he threatened me by saying take it or leave it.

It still cease's to amaze me that one has the nerve to bitch, whine, kick, and scream at a promoter (especially on a board) because they didn't get paid accordingly and not use the god damn brains to make a contract. If you don't make a contract then you leave yourself vulnerable and its ONLY your fault. A businessman take's advantage of people who want to do business yet there is no paper work and once when the job has been completed and the person tries to collect they have absolute no backing at all. Sure you make friends in the industry but when it comes down to business then business should be done. So if your serious about getting paid for what you do then think about it, secure your own investment.

If a set fee is agreed upon both parties then in no means should it be changed on how ticket sales, door sales, etc etc for the show do. When we do any show we do pay our locals but there are some that don't get paid but we do compensate them for the next show AND take care of them at every party

You know what your absolutely right. And because I don't have a written contract I can only argue and ask to be paid fairly. However in most cases im told by promoters that they may go over budget, they don't know how well they will do in ticket sales... which is perfectly fine. However with this one party I have never seen such a small budget spent at this venue with such a high ticket price. Am I still wrong to ask to be paid what the standard fee is for an aspiring DJ? Infact I wish at least 2 other DJ's should of been paid alot more for the years and experince they have. It honestly feels like a slap in the face.

Somewhat normal, I guess you could say that. With regards to any form of relationship Attila and I had/have, that isn't really relavent to the argument here. As for first crack at the tickets, yes you've mentioned to me about grabbing tickets for cheaper, however, that was only after my incident with guestlist for Trancemission then having it taken away because there were too many people on this list. That was a bit of a piss off when I was told to go and fork out $75 for a ticket (or more) the day before the rave, even though I'd helped you guys through the summer.

As for the incident of purchasing tickets and selling them for more, there were various people I know who were involved. Regardless, this wasn't a snub at you Alje, as I respect you as a person and think that you're the brighter half of the Evolve crew, but that doesn't change the fact that I can relate to what Rhia is talking about when dealing with Attila. He has been known to often say one thing and then take it back or not even address it. You know this and so do alot of people who work with him.
